Papikondalu or Papi Hills is located in Rajamundry, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. The Original name was ‘Papidi Kondalu’ where Papidi is a rough translation for partition in Telugu. These hills range also looks like a partition of a typical Indian Woman’s hair line.
Papi Hills lies in Eastern Ghats runs along River Godavari, flows in twists and turns towards east. These hills range spreads over a vast area covering about three districts of East Godavari, West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh and Khammam in Telangana.
There are government and private tourism corporations offers the most scenic boat rides along the Godavari River. The flooding river, the ups and downs of water, the drifting sand, the cool breeze and the fresh air gives you a thrilling experience to travel.
Papikondalu are one of the most visited tourist attraction in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There is also a belief that this place was visited by Lord Sri Rama and Goddess Sita during their exile.
These scenic pictures were shot during my short trip to Papikondalu. I, along with my friends took a two day road trip from Hyderabad to Papikondalu via Bhadrachalam and these picture were shot from the boat while travelling towards east. All these Pictures are shot on Canon 5D Mark III with 24-105MM Kit Lens.
